Due to new regulatory requirements, any non-compliant (000) impacted (customers) handsets attempting to activate a mobile service will be blocked from using the service at point of activation, this is due to our network provider Optus identifying that the handset is unsafe and unable to call emergency services, including Triple Zero (000).
Please check if you need to upgrade your handset in advance:
Text 3 to 3498 to determine if your handset is compatible or you can also use the online checker, found here, however you will need your devices IMEI number.
