International roaming

 

Dodo $10 Daily Roaming Packs allow customers on eligible Dodo mobile plans to use the internet, make and receive calls and send and receive SMS while travelling overseas. We call this International Roaming.

Each roaming pack gives you unlimited calls and texts, and 1GB of data to use until midnight in your destination country. Receiving SMS is free of charge, which is great for verification codes you need for banking or setting up rideshare overseas.

In what countries can I use the Dodo $10 Daily Roaming Pack?

 
 

The $10 Daily Roaming Pack is charged at a rate of $10 per 1GB of data used, this includes unlimited calls and SMS.

You will only be charged if you use your service. For example, if roaming is enabled on your service, once you arrive at your destination you will be charged $10 when we detect usage from your phone in an eligible country. Receiving SMS is free of charge.

Should you use up your 1GB allowance before midnight in your current time zone, you will be charged an additional $10*.

We will send you notifications when you have used 50%, 85% and 100% of your data allowance.

Log into MyDodo at any time to turn International Roaming on or off.

*You can use a maximum of 10 Daily Roaming Packs (or $100) each day before roaming is automatically disabled on your service. You must login to MyDodo to re-enable roaming.

Use these tips to get the most out of your Dodo $10 Daily Roaming Pack.

Be prepared

  • Activate International roaming via your MyDodo dashboard before you leave, you won't be charged anything until you use your device in an eligible country.
  • Make sure your credit or debit card details are up to date in MyDodo, and that you have enough funds to cover any $10 Daily Roaming Pack charges incurred while you are travelling.

Watch your data usage

  • Disable automatic phone and app updates on your device to avoid any unwanted surprises.
  • For peace of mind turn you mobile data off when not using any internet enabled apps.
  • We will send you data usage alerts when you have used 50%, 85% and 100% of your 1GB data allowance.
  • You can also check your usage using MyDodo.

Location, location, location

  • If during your travels you move from an eligible country (Italy for example) into an ineligible country (like Tunisia) then International roaming will be disabled.
  • Once you return to an eligible country you will need to connect to Wi-Fi and log into MyDodo to re-enable International roaming.

Reaching your limit

  • You can purchase a maximum of 10 x Dodo $10 Daily Roaming Packs per day.
  • Once you reached the daily limit International roaming will be disabled.
  • The following day you will need to connect to a Wi-Fi network and log into MyDodo to re-enable International roaming.

How can I track my usage?

 

We define 'usage' as when you: make or receive a call, send an SMS or start a data session by using data.

Receiving SMS is free of charge, which is great for MFA or OTP codes you need for banking or setting up Grab/Uber/Didi overseas.
